Morning came and Frederick woke up sore and bruised. The fight with his father had been intense, but it wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be, at least physically. Emotionally he was floored. What the hell had he done to deserve this life? He’s about to be killed by a street gang, and his parents didn’t even care? Well fine then! But he wasn’t just going to lie there and take it!
After barely escaping from Joey and his gang, Frederick runs away deep into Hollywood. He can’t believe his luck as he runs into a Rock ‘n’ Roll band. He joins the band and leaves the country with them. Just when he thinks he is safe and has found paradise, Frederick suddenly finds himself stranded in a foreign country, all alone at seventeen, with no money, no way to get home, and no home to go home to. He doesn’t know how he will survive!
